While the Austin Motor Company developed their Seven for racing and other competitive work, William Morris refrained from sporting sponsorship of Morris cars, leaving that to a business he personally owned, The MG Car Company. However, there were Morris products that were used in competition, the Minor in particular winning many awards when entered by their owners.
